Product Overview
The electric folding‑arm window opener is an AOV electric window actuator specially developed for smoke ventilation and natural ventilation projects. Driven by a built‑in motor‑gear assembly, it opens and closes windows via folding‑arm linkage structure. It is mainly suitable for side‑hung casement windows, widely used in factories, commercial buildings, atriums and stairwells. Linked with a fire‑alarm control panel, it automatically opens windows for smoke exhaust upon receiving fire signals, complying with EN 12101‑2 AOV system requirements.
Working Principle
A built‑in DC motor drives the internal reduction gear set to actuate the folding‑arm linkage mechanism. The folding arm extends and retracts to push and pull the window sash, achieving stable opening and closing for side‑hung casement windows. Built‑in limit switches precisely control the maximum opening stroke to prevent over‑travel damage. When receiving a fire linkage signal from the control panel, the actuator automatically opens the vent for emergency smoke exhaust. Some models support manual override for emergency operation during power failures.
