There are several ways to control a TDKCQ electric chain window actuator. The correct control method depends on the number of actuators, the required operating functions and whether the windows are used for natural ventilation or an AOV smoke-control system.
1. Control with an 86-Type Transformer Wall Switch
For a small installation with four or fewer chain window actuators, an 86-type wall-mounted transformer switch can provide a simple and cost-effective control solution.
A 220V AC power supply is connected to the transformer switch, which converts the voltage to the required 24V DC output. The actuator cables are then connected directly to the switch. Users can open, close or stop the connected windows from one convenient control point.
Before installation, the total actuator current must be checked against the rated output capacity of the transformer switch.
2. Control Multiple Actuators with an AOV Control Panel
For projects involving multiple windows, a smoke exhaust linkage control box can operate a larger group of electric chain window actuators.
The 220V AC supply, actuator cables and relevant control signals are connected to the control panel. Depending on the panel capacity, actuator current and system configuration, one control panel can operate up to 60 chain actuators, allowing all connected windows to open or close simultaneously.

3. Grouped and Individual Window Control
A control panel can also be combined with grouped control switches. This arrangement allows all connected chain actuators to open or close together while retaining the ability to operate an individual window or a selected window group.
In this configuration, the 220V AC power supply, group-control switch cables and chain window actuator cables are connected to the control panel. The panel distributes power and control commands according to the required operating zones.
How to Choose the Correct Control Method
Before selecting a control solution, confirm the number of actuators, operating voltage, total current, control zones, cable distances and fire-alarm integration requirements. The final system capacity should always be verified against the actuator and control-panel specifications.
